A theme song for a shoe nation ;-)

I was watching the AMAs last night and I almost fell out of bed of excitement. Jennifer Lopez was introduced and I thought someone said "Louboutins" and I thought it was a figment of my imagination. So i was watching with my eyes half closed and then I heard her sing her song and yes, I did hear right and I immediately woke up and sat up in bed and was listening. The song is about her leaving a bad relationship and "throwing on her louboutins" and leaving out the door. I googled it and read that Christian Louboutin specially designed the pair of Loubis she was wearing that night. Here is a video from last night from YouTube so you can see the performance and listen to the track.

I am pretty sure you can buy it on iTunes or Rhapsody by now so I am going to have to check it out.

One other thing I noticed last night: How hot was the gold-draped jacket of Alicia Keys in her performance??? I am so jealous, I want it. I think it was a vintage Chanel (at least, that is what it looked like). But whatever it was, I WANT IT!!!!!

And for today, I have my new shoes on that I bought at Forever 21 about a week ago. They are suprisingly very comfortable and would look so great with that JACKET!! AAAAAAHHHHH ;-)

So that's it for today, babes... Feel free to leave me comments, which performance and outfits (and of course SHOES!) tickled your fancy last night.

"Inspired" Style or Knock-off? You tell me!

So, I was going about my daily routing of checking out my favorite retail sancutary Forever 21 and the first thing I of course always check out is the new arrivals in the shoe section. My eyes got stuck on a beautiful pair of boots. They are really pretty with a nice heel and the shoe design itself is really avant-garde. They look like something you would see at Saks Fifth Avenue - the problem is, I have already. I immediately thought of the pair of Christian Louboutin (Have I mentioned I love him?) that my mom and I saw last weekend. They seemed like a spotting image.

Here are the two shoes as a comparison:

The first picture shows the Christian Louboutin Boot for $1,195. Of course the boot has the signature red sole and the leather bands wrapped around the boot are thicker. The second picture shows the Forever 21 boots for $32.80. No red sole and the bands are thinner. I think also think the heel is not as high but that is fine, that means the flex of the heel should not be unstable.

I really like the boots and I am thinking of buying them but I am usually against wearing knock-offs. So what do you guys think? Are they a knock-off or are they considered "inspired" style?

Let me know what you ladies think and post me some comments ;-)

My Name is T and I am an SA....

and I LOVE IT! Yes I am a Shoeaholic. It's funny because I don't know when it started. I went through my skater fashion phase, my gothic fashion phase (loved the black dresses, not the lifestyle ;-) ) and they never lasted long. My shoe addiction is a long-term disease with no hope.

My name is T and I am 26 years old. I think I subjected myself to this disease about 6 years ago. It started with LV handbags, cheap mid-heels and reading Vogue Magazine and now... looking in my closet with almost 40 pairs of 5-inch and over high heels (yes, I also have a pair of sneakers, geez), I don't know where I got lost.
Let me explain, shoes are fabulous pieces of torture. You wear an elaborate heel with an all-black outfit and you have everyones attention. "Love your shoes" or "Don't know how you can walk in these" or "Wow, you are tall and then plus heels?"; they definitely boost your ego. What no one knows is that there is whole mind process going on when walking in high heel shoes, no sorry, towering high heel shoes: Make sure you walk straight, doooooon't wobble, good and now look up and not down to where you are stepping into.... HAHA... that is what goes through my mind ;-) But it is all worth it, looking down at your piece of art and thinking, "WOW, how do I walk in these shoes? That's awesome!"

I embrace my disease and my husband is learning too ;-) This blog is for all shoeaholics out there. Show yourselves and let's joice together. On my blog, I will introduce the newest trends in shoes, from high-end to friggin cheap and awesome and show some of my goodies out of my closet, too.

Leave me comments whenever you like and let me know what is on your mind. I can't wait to take this shoe addiction to a whole new level ;-)

XOXOs and Muah,

P.S.: I leave you with a classic out of my closet and thank you again Hubby for making these mine ;-) These are Wine Red Declics from the wonderful, magnificent shoe designer Christian Louboutin
